Safety & Cancellation Policies
- All guests must complete the medical questionnaire truthfully before booking & payment. If a guest is found medically unfit on the day of the adventure, the booking may be rescheduled, transferred to another participant, or switched to a different activity. Please note that refunds are not possible in such cases, as accurate medical declarations are a critical part of our safety standards. If a medical clearance is required, our team will be happy to help. Any consultation fee is to be paid directly to the medical professional.
- Guests are requested to take care of equipment provided, & inform promptly upon noticing any loose or ill-fitting parts, or if any item is lost or damaged, so UNA can attempt recovery or arrange a replacement. In case of irrecoverable loss or damage, replacement costs will apply as per current market rates.
- Certified divers bringing & using their own dive equipment are responsible for its care, transport, & safekeeping. UNA is happy to offer guidance & support, but cannot assume responsibility for any loss or damage to personal gear.
- UNA operates government approved boats with capacities ranging from 6 to 20 pax that are assigned based on the activity, weather, & safety conditions. In the unlikely event that a boat or transport vehicle owned or arranged by UNA experiences a breakdown, UNA will provide a replacement at the earliest possible time to ensure you can continue your adventure or return safely to the dive center. Please note, the replacement may differ in features from the original, but will always be arranged to support your comfort & safety
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, & the use of drugs are strictly prohibited on our boats for the safety, comfort, & wellbeing of all our guests & crew.
- All guests & crew must also follow safety instructions issued by boat captains & instructors on duty.
- UNA does not recommend bringing children under 5 years old on boats unless you have booked a private charter, as weather conditions, heavy dive equipment & restricted movement on board may be hazardous or uncomfortable for them. Children older than 5 years are welcome, provided they are under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian.
- UNA team will select dive sites & in-water activity spots prioritising guest safety & comfort to create the best possible experience. While UNA aims to follow the plan shared during the initial briefing, please note sites may be adjusted depending on weather, sea conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
- UNA kindly requests full payment before your scheduled pool session, dive, or adventure activity.
- Activities may be postponed in line with standards set by PADI, NIWS, the Marine Police, & the Coast Guard, for your safety & wellbeing. Decisions to reschedule may be made due to sudden changes in weather, unforeseen technical issues, or other factors beyond our control.
- If UNA cancels a dive or adventure trip at any point, due to weather, safety, or official directives UNA can:
- Reschedule to another day.
- Conduct the activity at another venue, if possible.
- Issue a non-transferable voucher for the full amount, valid for a year.
- Issue a partial refund for the ocean portion of the booking after deducting charges mentioned below.
- The following amounts are paid in advance to third parties or to cover preparation costs & are non-refundable for the respective activities:
- Discover Scuba Diving: ₹3000 + GST per person
- Snorkeling/Boat ride: ₹1,000 + GST per person
- Day Kayaking: ₹500 + GST per person
- Dawn Kayaking: Non-refundable
- All PADI course fees are non-refundable & non-transferable, but can be rescheduled within a year.
- Some of our programs include complimentary photos & videos. While UNA does its best to capture these, no refund will be offered if photos or videos cannot be taken, as guest safety always takes priority over filming. Also, the footage quality is also dependent on guest safety, in-water comfort & ocean conditions.
